Temperature Sensor

This high-quality temperature sensor can be used for a variety of purposes. This includes making a system responsive to environmental conditions or body temperature. As always. we have fully conditioned and scaled the signal to the industry standard voltage range of 0.25-4.75 Volts, perfect for the Teabox.

The Temperature Sensor is especially useful when paired with a scaler, making it responsive enough to detect subtle variations in temperature.

As with all of our sensors, we have taken care to make certain that this sensor is of high quality. For the hacker or do-it-yourselfer we also offer a "project version" of this sensor (see the specification sheet for more details), which comes at a reduced price.

Sensing Specifications

Temperature sensor with signal conditioning and linearization manufactured by Analog Devices.
Physical Range Sensed: approximately -20C to 50C (-4F to 122F).

Sensor-end connector is our standard, female locking Molex connector. Interface-end connector is top-of-the-line Neutrik XLR connector.

Application Examples

Ambient / environmental temperature (note however that the sensor is not weather proof)
Body temperature: touching or breathing on the sensor for example (this yields the best results when the temperature sensor is used in conjunction with our T200 Scaler).

Application Notes

The temperature sensing component used in this device is actually capable of a larger temperature range. This sensor has been designed to focus on a smaller range to improve resolution in that range, but the sensor may be customized if the larger range is required.
