Teabox Accessory:
Project Splitter

The Project Splitter offers a simple, inexpensive, do-it-yourself solution to access the Teabox's RJ11 (telephone) jack inputs. It comes with 3 headers and 4 rubber feet that may be attached, or you may solder your custom sensor technology directly to the board.

One use of the Project Splitter is to bus 4 sensors together for a long distance before splitting them into 4 separate inputs. For a more full-featured device, check out our Expander.

  • Any custom circuitry may be soldered directly to the board, or may use the 4 3-pin headers which are provided.

Application Notes

  • ALWAYS carefully test all custom circuits thoroughly with an ohm meter prior to giving the circuit power. Especially be sure to check that there is resistance between power and ground. SHORT CIRCUITS MAY DESTROY YOUR INTERFACE.
